1) National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST)
NUST is considered to be among one of the best universities in all of Pakistan. The main campus is situated near Islamabad and several smaller campuses are located throughout Karachi, Lahore, Peshawar and Quetta. This prestigious university was ranked number 19th overall on QS Asian University Rankings 2014-2015. It has a strong reputation for research and innovation, with a focus on engineering, science and technology-based subjects. In addition to its top engineering programs, it also offers courses in business administration, economics and social sciences.
According to UIS data from 2012/2013, over 6200 students were enrolled at NUST’s undergraduate level alone. 4) Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology (GIKI)
GIKI is situated on a sprawling 500-acre campus and is located 15 kilometers from Peshawar City. It was established in 1998, with a vision to be among top engineering universities worldwide.

In addition to its campus at Chak Shahzad on Islamabad’s main thoroughfare, Rehri Road, IST also maintains a campus at Peshawar Road in Rawalpindi, as well as two other campuses located on Arbab Niaz Road and Adiala Road respectively.
It is one of the major science and technology universities operating under Pakistan’s Ministry of Science and Technology (MoST). The institute was established by former President General Pervez Musharraf during his regime to facilitate space technology-related research.
